The PX-612U external Slim DVD-RW is a highly portable DVD/CD burner with the convenience of the latest PlexTV technology for easy media viewing on your television or projector.

The special PlexTV mode allows the drive to use the same file system as USB hard drives making it possible to connect your drive to the USB ports of TVs and projectors. Once connected, you'll be able to use your TV's media browsers to view the contents of discs.

The drive's attractive brushed metal coloring and stylish design is matched by the quality of the Plextor burning mechanism inside. Supporting the high quality hardware is a comprehensive software pack. This includes PlexERASE to securely erase the content of unwanted discs, and the legendary PlexUtilities software which provides advanced information, testing, and adjustment.

Designed to be easy to carry the slender, compact drive only weighs less than 300 grams (0.66 pounds). It reduces the amount of items that you have to carry by taking power directly through the USB port so it needs no AC adapter.
